For safety reasons, we kindly ask pram participants to start at the very back of the race group to ensure the safety of all runners.
Yes, but only for the Ericom Half Marathon. The cut off time for the Ericom Half Marathon is 3 hours.

Volunteers will need to be available on Sunday 1 June 2025 to help the event run smoothly. Shifts and roles will be allocated depending on your skills and what is required on the day.

No prior experience is necessary, as clear guidance will be provided to ensure all volunteers feel confident and prepared for their roles.

Yes! Let us know if you have friends that you would like to be stationed with on the day. Whilst we will do our best to keep you together, we can not guarantee that you will be with all your buddies.

In addition to the satisfaction of making a meaningful contribution to the community, volunteers will receive a special edition cap, as well as food and beverage during their shift.
This program is ideal for recreational runners looking for structured guidance to complete a half marathon or 10km race. It’s best suited for those who can already run a few kilometres comfortably.
This plan is designed for runners with some running experience. If you’re brand new to running, we recommend reaching out to SAVVY via phone (1300 942 895) or email (info@savvyco.com.au) as they can create a beginner-friendly coaching program to give you more guidance and support to run your desired distance.
This 12-week program starts on 10 March and will prepare you for the McGrath Wollongong Running Festival on 1 June 2025.
That’s okay! Start from 12 Weeks To Go and do as many weeks as you can. As always, listen to your body. If you feel like it’s too much too quickly, then slow down and take an extra rest day to let your body catch up. The most important thing is lining up at the start injury free.
The plan includes three structured runs per week, focusing on tempo runs, speed work, and long runs. You’ll also get recommendations for cross-training, strength, and mobility exercises.

Yes, up until 4 weeks before the event. Please contact info@wollongongrunningfestival.com to do this. We don’t offer transfers within 4 weeks of the event or if the event has sold out.
